Past Participle dan Coordinate Connect

Past Participle

Past participle adalah bentuk participle yang akhirannya ditambah –ed, -d, -t, atau –en untuk bentuk regular verb. Sedangkan untuk ireguler bentukya tidak teratur. Past participle  berfungsi untuk kata kerja dan kata sifat.

·         Kata kerja ditandai dengan didahului auxiliary verb seperti has, had, have, to be (is, am, are, was, were).

·         Kata sifat biasanya tidak di dahului auxiliary verb atau to be (is, am, are, was, were).

Coordinate connector

Coordinate connector merupakan kata hubung dari sebuah kalimat. Kata hubung ini menghubungkan dua konstruksi gramatikal yang sama yaitu: kata, frasa, atau klausa. Dalam bahasa inggris, ada beberapa coordinate connector contohnya but, so, or, and.

·         But, kata hubung ini digunakan untuk menyatakan pertentangan. Contoh kalimatnya :

·         So, kata hubung ini akan diikuti hasil atau konsekuensi. Contohnya kalimatnya :

·         Or, kata hubung ini digunakan untuk menyataka alternatif.

·         And, kata hubung ini digunakan untuk menyatakan penambahan. Contoh kalimatnya
